Speech Recognition of the letter 'zha' in Tamil Language using HMM
نویسندگان
چکیده
Speech signals of the letter ‘zha’ (H) in Tamil language of 3 males and 3 females were coded using an improved version of Linear Predictive Coding (LPC). The sampling frequency was at 16 kHz and the bit rate was at 15450 bits per second, where the original bit rate was at 128000 bits per second with the help of wave surfer audio tool. The output LPC cepstrum is implemented in first order three state Hidden Markov Model(HMM) chain.

Adaptive Echo Noise Elimination for Speech Enhancement of Tamil letter ‘Zha’
Acoustic echo depends on time delay between initial and reflected sound wave, strength of reflected sound. In the speech processing of letter ‘zha’ [11], echo of the recorded voice gives the spurious results. Such complexity can be avoided by suitable pyramidal method like adaptive filtering technique. Adaptive filtering tries to adjust these parameters with the aim of meeting some well-defined...
متن کاملSpoken Word Recognition Strategy for Tamil Language
This paper outlines a strategy for recognizing a preferred vocabulary of words spoken in Tamil language. The basic philosophy is to extract the features using mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) from the spoken words that are used as representative features of the speech to create models that aid in recognition. The models chosen for the task are hidden Markov models (HMM) and autoassoci...
